Don Ardell Rated First In His Age Group By USA Triathlon

This photo was taken at the Ironman Institute in Florida where Don was tested in a study of high performance senior athletes.

Don Ardell, age 64, was rated first among 212 USA Triathlon members in the 60-64 age group. Approximately 16, 475 USA Triathlon members were ranked this year. In order to be ranked by USA Triathlon, you must be an annual member and you must compete in at least three USA Triathlon-sanctioned triathlons or three USA Triathlon-sanctioned duathlons. Events are scored by the distance of the event, the number of competitors and whether or not it is a national championship.Congratulations, Don!

Don Ardell Does It Again -- Named One of Five All Americans In Male Duathlon 60-64 Category by Inside Triathlon Magazine. "To make the All-Americans list, athletes had to do well at the big events: the ITU World Championships, USAT nationals and Ironman Hawaii, for triathlon; and, in duathlon, the short-course worlds, U.S. nationals and Powerman Zofingen. The factors we take into consideration include head-to-head competition, the depth of the fields and the time differences between finishers."
