Spring Greetings to our Members!

Fall Prevention at SeekWellness
It is now estimated that over twenty million baby boomers are taking care of one or both of their elderly parents. At SeekWellness, we recognize that many of our members are in this category so we are adding new content and products that might be helpful to you.

Our newest center on Fall Prevention is directed by Rein Tideiksaar, PhD and is full of practical ideas about preventing falls at home and in institutions. Dr. Rein has included worksheets to help you evaluate fall risk in rooms where older people live and move around. He's also provided practical tips on reducing injuries and rehabilitation after a fall occurs.

Although most falls produce no injury, between 5-10 percent of elders who fall each year sustain such serious injuries as fracture, head trauma, or serious laceration. Approximately 15 percent of elders who fall and injure themselves require hospitalization. Hip fractures are the most serious fall-related injury (95 percent of hip fractures are due to falls). Of the estimated 1 percent of elders who fall and sustain a hip fracture, 20-30 percent die within one year of the fracture. As many as two thirds of elders with hip fracture never regain their pre-fracture activity status and one-third require nursing home placement.

Dr. Rein is making every effort to educate all of us about the best preventive and other measures we can take to keep our elders safe. In the long run, the more we do to prevent falls, the easier life is for us and our aging parents. Take a look at our first group of fall and injury prevention devices that we are offering for sale on SeekWellness. Dr. Rein is available by live chat on the above page to answer your questions about which product might be right for your situation.

Male Incontinence
The inability to control urine is one of the most unpleasant and distressing problems from which a person can suffer, often causing isolation, depression and physiological problems. Men's anatomy poses particular problems for control systems but we have managed to find several innovative products to help solve them. The newest product we carry is the ActiCuf™ disposable pouch.

The breakthrough ActiCuf™ is a disposable, undetectable pouch designed to help men manage light to moderate urinary incontinence. When placed on the penis, the padded closure gently presses down on the urethra to control urinary flow. Any leakage is immediately asborbed by the ActiCuf™ so you can take charge of your day. The ActiCuf™ disposable pouch is so discreet that it's virtually undetectable under clothing. It's sleek portable design makes using public urinals a worry-free experience. Removing it and replacing it is fast and easy. Take a look and see if it might work for you. ActiCuf is a trademark of GT Urological, LLC.

Incontinence Underwear Buying Guide
SeekWellness carries four brands of incontinence underwear in washable and disposable styles. We evenUnderwear Buying Guide carry high fashion underwear - who says that incontinence underwear has to look like it? With this many choices, you can get pretty confused so we've developed an Underwear Buying Guide to help you narrow your choices and find the type that's best for you. You might want to try a couple of types to see which is most comfortable and provides the best protection for you.

Don't forget to use your bonus dollars! And remember that you earn more bonus dollars on every order you place.
