I have a pilates client with prolapse. Her doctor indicates
I have a pilates client with prolapse. Her doctor indicates she has no perineum muscle control due to possible nerve damage (yet, she is pain free). Can PF exercises help her? What muscles does the perineum consist of?

Answer
Exercises may help but it depends on the degree of prolapse. I suggest she should be fitted with a pessary and wear that when she does Pilates. This will provide her with support.
