I was diagnosed with a urethral diverticulum recently. I have had some other test ran and white blood cell count is a little elevated. Does the urethral diverticulum have any affect on the white blood cell count?

Answer
It can as the diverticulum is a sac of infection or bacteria. You need to have long term antibiotics to see if the diverticulum clears. That is usually the first treatment. Then an MRI is the test to diagnose the diverticulum
