i have a niece who is 6 yrs. old who wets her pants alot and it seems to me that she may not be able to help it . could she have an over active bladder.well that cause her to use the bathroom in her pants

Your niece is very young to be 100% continent. She may be reacting to certain foods and beverages that can cause some bladder overactivity. These would include products that contain caffeine. Also having her void on a schedule like every 2 hours. This way her bladder will not get too full and she will have less chance of wetting herself.
