I had surgery about one and a half months ago, for a urethra
I had surgery about one and a half months ago, for a urethral diverticulum that was about the size of an orange, and was comming out of my urethra. Ever since then Its like my bladder is leaking. And every time i have a bowel movement, and sometimes not even then, A lot of blood comes out of my anus, first i thought i had started my period, but then i relized i did not. I'm really scared cause i dont want to go through any more tests, or stay any longer in the hospital. I spent a week in there after my surgery. I guess what i am asking is if any of this is normal after that kind of surgery. And i know its not hemroids, because i have had that before. Thanks.

Answer
You should not have blood coming out of your rectum. It is common to have some urinary incontinence after surgery for a urethral diverticulum. I suggest you see your doctor, especially for the blood coming out of your rectum.
