I have had the pre interstim done but I haven't noticed any
I have had the pre interstim done but I haven't noticed any change. I have the setting on 3 and any higher pain radiates to my tail bone. I am told I have interstitial cystitis. If I sit down or lie down pain gets real bad and I have to urinate constantly. I have the setting on 3 but the unit is off a lot even though I have a new battery. My doctor thinks I need this but I don't know if I have had this condition so long that it may take time. I am due for the final procedure next week. I also have multiple myeloma and pelvic bones have lots of lesions - doctor doesn't think this causes pain. I have had tests done for IC in Seattle. No problem when standing.

Answer
If the Interstim test has not relieved your symptoms then you should not have the final implant surgery. That is why they do the test first to see if it will work. You need to speak with your doctor about the outcome of the test.
