Over the last year I've noticed I have the urge to urinate excessively. In fact I get up at least twice a night. I've never had a leakage problem but would truly like to sleep through the night. I would like to know if the drugs available to treat OAB will have any adverse affects on my birth control pills. In addition, when I do chose to get pregnant will I need to stop taking the medication?

Answer
The OAB medications should not have an adverse effect on your birth control pills. Speak with your doctor about using them during pregnancy. To get more information look at these URLs: Overactive Bladder: http://www.seekwellness.com/incontinence/overactive_bl adder.htm OAB treatments: http://www.seekwellness.com/incontinence/oab_treatment s.htm
