My 7 year old son has a problem with going to the bathroom.

My 7 year old son has a problem with going to the bathroom. He sometimes messes on himself but doesn't realize it until he smells it. We have and are doing fiber tablets to help this but it does not seem to be helping. We have been to the doctor also but we are going to go back and try to get some more help. What is this problem and what can we do about it?

I would see your pediatrician and you may want to see a gastroenterologist. I would think that your son's problem can be helped with diet or increased fiber.
