I had an ultrasound done 2 days ago. they said I emptied my bladder only about 20%. I new I was having (post) residual. I was wondering what will be some of the option they will give me to correct this? Also everything I have read has to do with eitherbeing obese, elderly, or having children. I am 27 yrs old, I am at a good weight and I have had no children or never been pregnant. thank you

Answer
If you are not completely emptying your bladder, you should have some additional tests to determine the reason. Tests would include a bladder cystometrogram and a uroflow. The treatment recommended will depend on the reason your bladder is not emptying. Are you seeing a specialist - a urologist?
