hi im 31 years old . I have my third baby 7 months ago and since she was 3 months i started with constipation problems & anxiety problems . I think I have developed IBS . However I started taking Metamucil only once a day with is the minimum dosage and I now go everyday or every other day normal . however i have breakfast in the morning I drink hot cuban coffee with milk , about 5- 10 minutes after finishing I have to have a bowel movement normal . 20-30 minutes pass by and i get another urge to go normal again . And that's it then it happens again the following morning . Is this normal ? Please give me some advice . Other than that I feel fine , no pain , eating very well . Thank you. Odalys

Answer
It may be the coffee that is causing your problem with frequent bowel movements. The caffeine in the coffee can be a bowel irritant and the warm temperature of the coffee can stimulate the bowels to move. Stop the coffee and see if this improves.
