I have needed the toilet much more frequently over the last
I have needed the toilet much more frequently over the last week. I can usually go all day without needing the toilet but this past week has been awful. I've seen the dr twice but the urine tests were negative, which has left me desperate. They believe it is related to my anxiety condition. However, I have burning and irritation below and even when I have been to the toilet there is no relief. I am not getting up in the night, the symptoms to ease at that time. I am in pain now, lower back pain and abdominal pain wher i am afraid to go to the toilet too much in case I cause myself more problems i.e. lower urine capacity and overactive bladder! Sometimes it is so painful to sit i feel raw. I have had numerous vaginal infections and thrush over the last 9 months, and have had some similar symptoms in the past which when I was treated for thrush or infetion cleared up. I am beginning to panic. this morning I was fine for three hours - no pain, no urgency. Then i showered and the irritation strted and I needed the toilet - since then it is worse. I am putting heat on my back and abdomen to ease it. I am now panicking that I might have all sorts of things - interstatiol cystitus and everything else. Please help!

Answer
You should see a gynecologist for your pain. As this just started a few weeks ago you should have a pelvic examination. I do not know why you have the urgency. But it sounds as though you may have pelvic pain or vulvodynia.
