I was diagnosed with hepatic cholangiocarcenoma in April. The goal is to do a liver resection but they are doing chemo first to try to shrink the tumor a small amount to remove pressure from the vein. I was on 5fu pump and oxaliplatin for one full round and the MRI showed no shrinkage and no growth. We were hoping for shrinkage in the second round; however, yesterday I had an alergic reaction to oxaliplatin and they said I won't be able to use it anymore. Any suggestions on what chemical combo I should try next?
Chemotherapy is only one option for shrinking tumors.
Hyperthermia is a type of cancer treatment in which
body tissue is exposed to high temperatures (up to 113°
F) to damage and kill cancer cells. There are no drug
related side effects and it is done in an outpatient
setting. Though not widely available, the treatment
is effective. (see my article at Overcome incontinence, sexual problems, poor physical and mental fitness and Seek Wellness.

Have you looked into Sir-Spheres? We think that they are our best hope to shrink the tumors. Was dianosed in mid October of 2007. Am under going treatment the 21st of this month.
