Should I be on Testim??
Hello peeps,

I have some questions for anyone who has the time to answer.

I am a 43 yr old male whos been having some erectile difficulties that have been noticable starting about the age of 40. My performance has been on a slow down hill slide. Usually I dont have problems getting an erection but its more of a staying power and/or my wood isnt as hard as it used to be. If I dont cum after a certain amount of time I lose the erection and usually a second try wont work. This has been happening more and more frequently. Of course this is frusting to me and my partner.

I explained this to my doctor a few months back and he sent me to get my hormone levels checked. My total T was 441. My sugar, colesterol and some other tests came back all normal. 441 didnt sound low so he just gave me some cialis. That stuff worked great. He also asked me to get my T tested again in 4 weeks. The second test showed 385 total T.

When I went back to the doctor and reviewed the results we discussed T replacment with Testim. He suggested I use 1/2 of a tube per day to see if it raised my T and if it helps with my performance.

Does anyone know if I use Testim will it casuse my own testes to stop producing T and atropy??

And if I decide to use it for a few months and decide not to continue can i just stop or do you have to slowly come off of it??

My goal is not to pump up my T for any other reason than to get the edge back in the sack.

Anyone out there in a similar situation that can share thier results??

thanks much

Testim
I would highly reccomend using AndroGel before using Testim. Testim is very sticky and has a perfume odor.

Androgel
I am 47 and decided to try testosterone for the first time, about 2 months ago. My reasons were similar to your own. My doc started me on Androgel (5g daily) and said there was no danger of shutdown or suppression as long as I stayed within the "physiological range". Well, the first two weeks I felt terrific with improvements in every aspect of my life, then about the third week everything changed. I began to feel terrible and so stopped using the Androgel. Before I stopped I had a blood test done and sure enough my numbers had gone from 470 (before Androgel) to 315 (fourth week on Androgel). My doctor refuses to admit this has anything to do with the Androgel. He says the 155 point drop is a "natural fluctuation". My warning to you is: Be careful with this stuff. It WILL cause suppression of your natural production no matter what your doctor tells you. It has been over two weeks since I quit using and I am still not back to normal. Testosterone replacement is serious business and is FOR LIFE. You cannot just "top off" to achieve higher levels. It doesn't work that way, as I found out...By the way my doctor's name was Harvey Kryger in Monterey, California and I absolutely would not recommend him to anyone.

androgel therapy
I am 37 and went on androgel because my testosterone was 201, and I had symptoms of depression, anemia, and being very tired. I have never had any sexual issues although now I am even hornier. I went on 2.5G a day to start, and my testosterone went down to 171. I like most of you felt better at first. I am on 5G and after several months on that I am doing well and my testosterone has doubled. Why? The body recognizes the hormone, the pituitary gland makes LESS L.H. (lutinizing hormone) Please excuse the spelling. This is the hormone that tells the testes to make testosterone. If your pituitary gland and testes are working at all, they will slow down production even more. It takes months on one dose just to check bloodwork and then months again on a new dose to check again. Hang in there guys. Hope this helps
