Androgel
I used androgel for 1 month and my level did not move much at all. My test level was 154 before I started to use it but my level was that low for at least 4-5yrs because I had testicular cancer in 97. My level did not increase at all then I have test shots every 2 weeks at a high dose but that took about 1-1/12 months to jump up to 400+. Now I am looking into something else because I have no drive...

Androgel
Hi, Amy--I've been on Androgel for exactly 3 months this week. I had low levels of testosterone, close to your boyfriend. My libido has gone through the roof! Other than the side effect of slight acne this medication has completely changed my life. I feel healthier, better rested, and far more assertive in general--not just in the bedroom. From what you've described, it sounds like your boyfriend's lack of interest in sex with you is more than low testosterone...best of luck in your situation!

After 3 months
I experienced the same results as the above writer for the first three months, but sadly, the positive effects have worn off, and at four months in on a 7.5 gram dose of androgel the only lasting change is the acne. It's kind of sad to have had the window of hope opened only to have it close.

Androgel lack of effect
I had an extremely positive reaction to Androgel which lasted a few weeks and then trailed off to nothing. I apparently absorb the stuff too efficiently and my free T level went to twice normal on a 5G dose. I am now on 2.5G and feel nothing. The fatigue is back as is the loss of libido. I am thinking of trying Testim since I may get higher results on a half dose. Ready to try anything to regain that initial relief.

testosteron
If it has any effect at all, masturbation is more likely to increase testosterone levels than lower them.

testosterone
I thought that testosterone levels decreased after orgasm. So why would masterbation increace testosterone levels?

Testosterone
There is very little research about what happens to testosterone levels after masturbation but Dr. Malcolm Caruthers, in his book "The Testosterone Revolution" says, <br> <br> "masturbation about once a week stops the erectile system from 'going rusty' and may stimulate testosterone production."<br> <br>

Androgel, masturbation, etc.
I think masturbation temporarily raises T levels but on the other hand I think ejaculation lowers them. How's that for a seemingly contradictory statement...?<br> <br> Androgel works great until your endogenous levels drop out...which is when you will need to increase your dose to make up for your losses. Do not believe anybody that tells you your levels will not be suppressed. My doctor (Dr. Kryger in Monterey, California) misled me in this regard and I am still paying the price.
