Effects of Testim

I am currently taking 5g Andorgel daily. Although my total t level was around 300 for a 52 year old, it had been declining and I had all the symptoms of andorpause. I believe my problems were triggered by the use of statins for high cholestoral. While I have noticed improvement, I am trying to balance the positive effects of HRT with the negitives of long term use. I have read that a combination of 2gm propionyl-L-carnitine plus 2gm acetyl-L-carnitine are as effective as testosterone replacement. Any truth to the claim?

They may have effects that no one has studied yet. Talk with your doctor and see if he'll work with you on a trial of this alternative. If the side effects don't worry him, you and he may discover something interesting.<br>

I was on 5g of testim for two weeks with out knowing that there was an alternative called androgel. I found Testim to be very sticky and also to have an offensive smell. I finally told my doctor that I could not take it and that I wanted to go back to the shot. That is when he told me about androgel. Androgel has no scent and drys very quick because it has an alchohol base. I have now been on this therapy for 3 months and feel wonderful.With androgel available I don't know why anyone would choose Testim <br> <br> PS. last month when I got my prescrption refilled, the pharmacy asked if I would like it in the pump. I did and now the process is that much easier.
