Low testosterone/heart attack
There is some evidence that low testosterone can be a risk factor for heart disease (<a href="http://www.jsonline.com/alive/news/may05/326609.asp" target="_blank">http://www.jsonline.com/alive/news/may05/326609.asp</a>) but this association has not been proven. I tried to find information about high "metal" levels as a risk factor but didn't get too far. Were there specific metals mentioned like mercury or iron? I think your son's doctors will run a variety of tests on him to see if lifestyle changes and/or medication will be helpful to him. I'm not sure there is much you can suggest that they will not already be considering.
