Androgel/Weak erection
I am a 31 year old man who has been experiencing weak erections for a few years now, and after reading about low testosterone levels and its link to weak erections i immediately went to a urologist and stated my concerns and asked for a testestrone levels test, the urologist was quick to brush me off and gave me a prescription of cialis. i insisted that he checked my testostrone levels and when the results came back - i was right my testostrone was very low.it was about 187 ng/dl and my prolactin level was a little higher than normal about 22.5?? the urologist refered me back to my primary physcian to do a number of other tests. and again my T.level was low but higher than before. this time about 241ng/dl.and it showed my hematocrit to be a little high 50.4 or something like that. my physician wanted to start a HRT program but i asked to see an endocrinologist. after showing the results to the endocrinologist he order an MRI which that results showed there was a tumor about 3mm in my pituitary gland. my proclatin levels though were in the normal range this time and my T-level went up to 665ng/dl. the endocrinologist downplayed the tumor and said it was too small and was not significant. another round of test was ordered and this time the T-level dropped down to 321ng/dl. the doctor concluded that my T-levels were flactuating and he started me on 5g androgel for a month. this had no effect at all-felt like a waste of time and now my dose has been upped to 10g. a number of other tests were done and everything else was fine. my problem lies with the Prolactin level that looks like it is fluctuating, the hematocrit level which looks like it is fluctuating, off course the T-level is a problem as it is definitely fluctuating. my biggest concern is - 1)is ther anything like a small tumor? and 2) does different size tumors affect individuals differently no matter what the size? 3)has anybody had such a confusing situation? 4)do i need to see another endocrinologist to prescribe medication to shrink tumor or surgery and medication to keep prolactin below normal ranges although latter tests show them to be normal.? please advise.
