depresion and low testosterone
Ive had, as far as I can remember, life long depression. Developing into severe depression in my 40's. It has gotten worse by the decade. Covered up in my teen years by typical teen type energy, verve and activity, by my late teens, I was becoming suicidal and was way down. A drug addict of sorts in my teens, then off completeley drugs at by 21 or so, then on in to alcohol, which saw me drinking daily within my first 2 months. Which progressed into Full Blown alcoholism. Was 'struck' sober at age 29, havent had drugs or alcohol since. Depression has been worse sober than it ever as drunk. I am 46 now.

Ive done everything over the years for it, except maybe VIGOROUS excercise. But Ive been in healthy stages physically for sure in that time (hiker).

My questions is Ive read here and there ovet the years that "low testosterone" in men can produce horrific depresion. Since I've always had very low sex drive, very low history of sexual activity, Ive always wondered about this as it relates to the serverity of my depression.

Any takers?

Al Guevara

Thanks
