Prevent falls by using a fall alarm set. Fall alarms are available in a variety of applications—bed pads, chair pads, toilet seat pads and under mattress pads—all atached to a control (fall alarm) unit that is mounted on a bed or chair. These units can often prevent falls by helping caregivers be alert to the movement of patients.

Fall Alarm Sets
Consists of a soft, thin pad (placed on top a bed mattress; on a chair or wheelchair seat) and a control unit (typically mounted on the bed or chair). The pad senses changes in weight and pressure; if the patient/resident gets up from a bed or chair, the fall alarm sounds.
